1. Journal of Competency of Woman Entrepreneur

The objective of this research is to develop a model of successful Malaysian women entrepreneurs. The qualitative in-depth interview research technique was used in this study. A total of 11 successful Malaysian women entrepreneurs of diverse ethnic origins which included the Bumiputeras, Chinese and Indians were selected for this study. The major findings of this study showed that the factors which contributed to the success of the women entrepreneurs included individual factors, organisation and the environment. In addition, the element of interest and a strong sense of passion towards their entrepreneurial career, their bravery in undertaking risk, self-confidence and positive attitude were the most important factors that had played an important influence on the success of women entrepreneurs. 

2. Journal of Competency of Woman Entrepreneur

The model comprises women skills development, access to micro finance self-employment, entrepreneurial ventures and sustainability in general and specific to rural communities. The factors that motivate women correlated to entrepreneurial cognition are also discussed. The characteristics of bootstrapping and the allied problems of the women cadre in startup are the focus of the paper. The paper also reviews the problems faced by fresh graduates in medicine, management as aspiring entrepreneurs and their likely role in rural health care.

This study examines the impact of women entrepreneurs on economic growth in Benue State, North Central Nigeria. In order to help the women entrepreneurs overcome their operational hardships in Benue State, it is recommended among others: capacity building programmed on entrepreneurship education, provision of effective and realistic support services for women entrepreneurs, promoting of gender neutral environment in all policy measures to help women entrepreneurs impact significantly on economic growth

A number of factors have been suggested to explain how the success among women entrepreneurs can be improved. To date, some factors have been considered to influence the success of women entrepreneurs such as human capital, networking, financial aids, and opportunity. Despite these studies, entrepreneurial characteristics have been suggested to be studied in order to determine the success among women entrepreneurs

5. Journal of Competency of Women Entrepreneurs

The objective of this study is to review theoretical models that determine women entrepreneurial motivation. Theoretical models are used as platforms that can motivate women into entrepreneurship. However, this study is limited based on the information available when the research was carried out. Further research could look at the effect of the entrepreneurship education on women entrepreneurial activities. This paper recommends a study of entrepreneurship models as catalyst for women who want to start their own business so as to know the factors that can encourage and facilitate their performance. This will help to influence more women towards entrepreneurship. The study makes theoretical contribution by focusing on the research area that has received less attention especially in the context of the topic.
